If you love animals and craft beer… keep reading. Brew at the Zoo was held at the Nashville Zoo on June 2. I was so excited about this event because my heart is so big for animals and craft beer!
The Zoo closed at 5 p.m. and opened their doors for the craft beer lovers at 6:30 p.m. There were animals, live music, several local food trucks and 100 craft beers on tap.
We received a cute, petite glass that we could fill unlimited times. Once you found the beer you liked the most you could keep going back to the tent, which is exactly what I did. The watermelon picnic by Blackstone Brewing Company was my favorite! It tasted like watermelon juice and beer (sounds weird but it was delicious).
The Tickets were $65 and the event lasted from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. The money was well worth the ticket.
There were so many breweries but I thought I would share a few that really made an impression on me:
There were over 15 food trucks but I ordered food from The Grilled Cheeserie and I was in heaven.
A pimento mac and cheese sandwhich! It was so yummy!
It was a wonderful, summer night filled with friends, food, animals and of course, craft beer. I would recommend this event to anyone and I definitely plan to be back next year!
